Qualitative maintenance of power equipment is the basis for maintaining it in working condition without any loss of the declared operational characteristics and indicators.
Timely replacement of old parts with new ones is the best way to solve the problem of equipment aging,  as well as to prevent emergency situations, expensive repairs and extended downtime.

Acting as an EPC contractor, AMCOR assumes responsibility for all stages of the implementation of projects for the medium and major repair of power equipment in accordance with the conditions prescribed in the contract.

AMCOR performs maintenance of power equipment throughout the life cycle:

  • planned and unscheduled maintenance and repair;
  • carrying out inspections, tests, flaw detection to prevent major repairs;
  • repair of parts and equipment at the factory, restoration of operational performance;
  • long-term service;
  • modernization of equipment.

Due to the obsolescence as well as wear and tear of structures and machines with the increase in operating time, all kinds of defects are accumulated due to changes in the properties of the metal characteristics. These factors contribute to the need to introduce updates and carry out the reconstruction of installed equipment.

Modernization allows renewing the resource of high-temperature modules which leads to an increase in reliability, as well as in power and economy of equipment. Modernization of components of the control and diagnostic system allows to increase the efficiency of operation of the equipment and prevent long downtimes.

The result of modernization is the improvement of technical and economic indicators of power equipment along with the increase in its resource.

Repair Area

For the proper organization and convenience of the GTU overhauling it is used repair areas which meet a variety of requirements.

The main requirements on the repair areas include the following:

• Sufficient free space of the room, which is needed for the location of the assembly units and individual parts removed from the GTU, as well as the equipment and accessories necessary for the repair operations.

• For the area service and movement of the heavy GTU components and repair hardware, suitable lifting equipment must be installed.

Remote Monitoring

Monitoring systems usually include a set of sensors, software, and a modem with software tools. Installation of the system doesn’t take much time.

In the software, it is taken into account the design features, a character of the work processes, properties of the individual assemblies and modules, operating history of such objects.

Diagnostics

Nowadays improving the reliability, repairability, and efficiency indexes of the gas turbine units (GTUs) are of particular urgency.

One of the important conditions of the long-term reliable operation of the GTUs in a wide range of the operating modes is to carry out timely and high-quality technical diagnostics. The main functions of the diagnostics are: to evaluate the current condition of the unit, detect breakdowns and defects, predict the remaining in-service life, and monitor the technical condition.

 

Maintenance of the Gas Turbine Units

Keeping of such installation in good and operative condition is based on timely and high-quality maintenance and repair. With a proper organization of maintenance and repair, the service life of the gas turbine unit is prolonged, and its downtimes are minimized.

Gas turbine failures are usually caused by faults associated with wear, deformation, and corrosion.
