Remote Monitoring

In recent years, to carry out the most complete and comprehensive data analysis about the condition of the of gas turbine units (GTUs), remote monitoring systems are used. They provide a wide range of GTU parameters in time, the ability to compare data at different time intervals, give information about the effect of operating modes on vibration, noise, thermogas dynamic and other characteristics.

Monitoring systems usually include a set of sensors, software, and a modem with software tools. Installation of the system doesn’t take much time.

In the software, it is taken into account the design features, a character of the work processes, properties of the individual assemblies and modules, operating history of such objects.

Information about the GTU condition can be provided in reports, which include conclusions and recommendations, as well as data for the organization of preventive maintenance. Access to reports can be given via the corresponding Internet resources.

Many studies show that the main part of GTU failures begin with alarm signals. Therefore, it is very important to identify such signals timely.

The data and alarms received by the remote monitoring system are processed, analyzed, and as a result, it is provided information about the current condition and prediction of the future work of individual assemblies, parts, and the GTU in whole.

Remote monitoring allows monitoring failures and breakdowns at a rather high level, which, in turn, significantly increases the reliability of GTU operation and personnel safety.

The use of the remote monitoring systems helps to minimize emergency situations, as well as to operate the installation in less loaded conditions, providing a longer GTU service life.
